Hello,
Nancy Hollenback of the Gteam is teaching a class on Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in LabVIEW in Livonia Oct 20 and 21.
If you are considering implementing OOP you should strongly consider this class.

I have to add my praise for this course: of all the NI courses that I've experienced, this is definately in my top 3 (both in dpeth of content covered and in value). It was written by Endevo (one of the early LabVIEW pioneers), and covers everything that you need to know to actually get up and running with OO in your projects. A lot of people use OO for it's encapsulation only (that's a totally valid thing to do), but this course will take you through inheritance as well, which is where OO really shines. It assumes that you know LabVIEW, but don't know OO, so you'll start by learning some programming pattern theory, and end with implementing.
Also, Nancy Hollenback is a great teacher - rather than the standard just-read-through-the-course-slides teacher, Nancy has a lot of real-world examples and a very flexible agenda (if the class wants to concentrate on one particular area of a course, she's more than happy to do that). I took a class with Nancy years ago back in Sydney, and it was of the highest value of any NI training that I've experienced.
Re-reading my post, it looks a bit like an ad That's how good the course is!
