Purpose
Implement a sonar proximity sensor for aiding the parking of a car
Equipment:
- Maxbotix LV-EZ1 - $24
- Red LEDs < $1
- 6 wires < $1
Set up Hardware:
- Connect the sonar range finder
- Connect analog in to analog out 1 on the myDAQ
- Connect ground to analog ground on the myDAQ
- Connect analog out to the analog in 1+ on the myDAQ
- Connect analog in 1- on the myDAQ to analog ground on the myDAQ
- Connect the LEDs
- Connect the positive side of the LEDs to analog out 0 on the myDAQ
- Connect the negative side of the LEDs to analog ground on the myDAQ
Software Instructions:
- The VI allows you to set the min distance, if the range is within this distance the LEDs will be on
- You can see the values the sensor is returning in inches on the chart on the front panel
