I am glad that you have a software-timed program working. Depending on your application, that may be fine, but if you want to decrease test time by removing the effects of software overhead and bus latency between each switch and measurement operation, then you should keep troubleshooting the handshaking example. On that point, I think that MarshallG is correct. I tracked down an SMU and ran the example code without any issues, but I was using an 8-slot chassis that only has one bus segment. If you are using a larger chassis (18-slot chassis), you might need to manage trigger resources across the multiple different bus segments.
