You can use a DIO PCI card to control a custom relay bank. Relays controlled in this manner would likely be toggled open/closed via the digital states of the DIO card.

As an alternative, you can also use a relay driver module. The NI PXI-2567 and the NI SCXI-1167 provide control for up to 64 external relays. The benefits to using a relay driver module are the following:
