Modifying SystemLink CSS

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to better my dashboards because the widgets are not "pretty" enought for what I'm trying to show, the problem is  I can't modify the CSS code of SL webapp. My modifications are not taken into account.

I'm a newbie at web programming so maybe I just dont know how to do what  want to do.

Is it possible to change the CSS code ? How?

Have you tried SystemLink Tile dashboards? We've invested significantly to make the style of these best in class? Otherwise we don't expose custom styles for our dashboards as well as other SystemLink applications. Technologies such as WebVIs (that can be hosted within SystemLink) provide lots of tooling to incorporate custom styles.

We can't add python scripts with tile dashboards. They do look good but I'd like to be able to use them the way I want to.

About NXG Web Vi's  I struggle with the data binding part, LabVIEW has more options which makes everything easier an cleaner, however I am far from being an expert so I'm to suggestions bout how to proceed. And I think there are limitations on how much you can customize your  interfaces on NXG, I don't know that for sure.

Can you be more specific regarding the features in Python and free form dashboards you are using and why?

Mark,

Although the Python stuff here might be specific to this application, in general, it would be nice to be able to modify some of the more generic CSS components of SystemLink, like the hover and selection colors, or the header bar color. Potentially even adding our own corporate branding to the top of the page would be a nice touch. Lucky for us the NI blue colors align with our corporate blue colors, but I can see in other applications how being able to match up with the deployed company's color schemes would be nice.

We're beginning to deploy our SystemLink dashboards on 52" monitors at each of our factory's 40+ production lines so we can monitor metrics in real-time at the line when the management team does gemba walks in the morning. You can imagine how it would look if our companies colors were, say, bright yellow and black, but you look out on the production floor and there's a sea of blue-based dashboards out there.
