We are considering including such a feature in our markdown tile. Specifically special syntax that would be replaced with a tag value or property. Does this sounds like what you are looking for?

Sorry for my late answer. Definitely, yes. The displayName property has helped a lot to programatically post information about the IoT hardware directly to Tile dashboard, so, it will be nice to post other properties (strings type) in the same way.
