3792 roboRIO v2.0 faulty RJ-45

Team 3792 Army Ants has a roboRIO 2.0 with a faulty RJ-45 connector. The USB-B port still functions and we can communicate with the RIO, but connecting to the VH-109 radio from the RJ-45 port doesn't work. We are due at the Championship in Houston next week, so this is perhaps a bit of a rush. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi a.winslow,

This appears to be the same issue mentioned in the following thread: "FRC RoboRIO v2 Issues with new VH Radio" Could you please confirm if this is correct?

Yes. My apologies, I didn't realize someone had already opened the other thread. To sum up the current situation, this roboRIO's RJ-45 connector is non-functional. It never shows any connection lights when a full connection is made. Neither NI MAX nor the NI Device Manager ever detect a connection other than via the USB-B connector which appears to be fully functional.

Hi,

Could you please connect the roboRIO directly to the laptop using an Ethernet cable? Let us know if the Ethernet lights turn on, and if they do, describe how they are turning on. Additionally, please try using different cables, just in case.

Yes, sorry I wasn't clear. My previous post was via direct connection between the PC and the roboRIO. No lights on the RJ-45 connector.
