I am reaching out on behalf of FRC Team 1678 Citrus Circuits. This past weekend at our first competition, our robot completely lost communications right after the autonomous period during one of our matches. After further investigation, we can confirm that the Radio never lost connection with the FMS system, and the Radio never lost ethernet connection with the RoboRIO. Additionally, we believe that the RoboRIO did not lose power at any time, as the RSL was on the entire time (and went solid when we lost communications). The best we can tell is that this was a RoboRIO issue, however we are unsure exactly what caused it. There were some DIO and PWM pins that were bent (in one case, they were possibly touching or could have touched momentarily), although we are unsure if that happened prior to or during the match. When taking the circuit board out of the casing, it didn't look like there was anything that could have caused a short or anything that looked out of the ordinary (besides the bent pins). Please let me know if there are any tests you would like us to run to diagnose the issue or any more details you need, and if not, what the next steps would be to proceed with an RMA.
