I am reaching out on behalf of team 9181, platypirates. We had a roborio 2 this past season that was constantly getting power and connectivity issues. At one of our events the FTA advised us to just replace it and send this one in for repairs as everything else checked out and physically there was nothing else they could do. We reimaged, checked all the connections and debugged pretty much everything and it was still not working correctly. Would it be possible to send our roborio 2 in for repairs?
Cheers

Hi Arice,
I hope you're well! My name is Jessica, I work at NI. I've sent you a direct message to coordinate the repair.

Jessica,
We too have a problem with our RoboRio. This is an FRC team, so I am working with kids. You know how the RoboRIO has 4-40 screws you can use to mount it....
Well, you likely also know that if you are the adult in charge, and there are a lot of things going on, you might not get there in time to prevent an enthusiastic student from finding a 4-40 screw that is a bit too long and then drive it into the circuit board.....
Well, I don't think I really even need to send a picture, because you likely know exactly what this looks like. The best corner for this to happen is the one where the screw drives right into the little tiny resistor.
So, what do we do now?

Hi cbixel,
Please create your own thread to get support. Thanks!

Is there a different place for an FRC team to submit a support request than a typical industry member?

@cbixel, this forum is the correct place for FIRST teams. Just please create your own thread so that we can keep track of what details and debugging steps are from which teams.
