I have a roboRIO 2.0 that seems to have gotten metal shavings into some of the header pins, and now we have lost our 5VDC signal on the board. Please let me know how I can contact someone to have this device sent in for repair.
Thank you

Hi Tlarmstr, my name is Jessica, I'm with NI.
Metal shavings inside the roboRIO generally cause one or more user voltage rails to be in short-circuit or overcurrent condition.
Is the Power LED Solid red? If so, you can clear this by trying any of the following steps:
1. Turning the roboRIO upside down and shaking it vigorously.
2. Vacuuming out the ports on the roboRIO.
3. Use canned air or compressed air to clear the hardware pinouts.
Check with a flashlight for material making contact in the port pinouts.

Hi Jessica,
Thank you for replying to my post. Unfortunately, we have done all of that, and it has not resolved the issue of no 5VDC signal. We can use the roboRIO as a programming tool, as logic can be loaded, but when we try to use inputs, the devices do not register the signals. We have measured the exposed points and determined that the 5VDC system is not outputting any voltage.
