B210 not appearing as a USB device after reboot

I've been running into an issue where my B210 will not show up as a USB device after a reboot. I've seen this issue with various versions of Ubuntu but most recently tested this agains 14.04.

Unplugging the B210 and hooking it up to a different computer generally seems to resolve this issue. The kernel messages I've seen seem to indicate that the B210 tries to draw too much current at boot and is kicked off the USB 3.0 bus. Getting the USRP back to its initial firmware state, instead of already having the latest and greatest firmware already loaded via USB seems to be the only thing that gets it back up and running.

I've tried to get support via support@ettus.com over a period of months but my emails go completely unanswered. Has anyone run into this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about all of the troubles that you have been having with the B210. Unfortunately, most of the users on this forum use the NI-USRP driver which does not support Debian based systems although there are a few so maybe one of them can respond. Otherwise, you could try signing up for the Ettus mailing list and see if you have better luck getting a response from there:
