Hello I am trying to work with USRP-2920 in Linux Ubuntu 22.04
I successfully downloaded and installed UHD but 'uhd_find_devices' and 'uhd_usrp_probe' both returned that it cannot find any device.
The major problem is I can not sent ping requests to the USRP.
Despite spending a lot of time and various attempts to solve the problem, I have hit a wall.
I will explain my situation, please point out any wrong or missing methods and I will be more than happy to try it out.
1. Trying to find the problem in physical connection
- soft reset (s2 button) of USRP
- power cycle reset, unplugged and waited 30 sec before reconnecting
- reboot PC
- changed ethernet cable(cat6)
- changed PC(one was ubuntu18)
but I have come to the conclusion that the physical connection is not a problem.
Both ethernet ports of PC and SDR are lit up.
D and F of front LED of SDR are lit up.
'ethtool <ethname>' returns
- Link detected : Yes
- Speed : 1000Mb/s
- Duplex : Full
2. Trying to find the problem in software
UHD version is 4.8.0.0-0ubuntu1~jammy1
(UHD4.7.0.0 bionic for ubuntu 18 pc)
IP address for ethernet was manually fixed as 192.168.10.1/24
firewall was disabled
when ping was requested, nothing returned.
arp-a shows
? (192.168.10.2) at <incomplete> on eno1
forced ping and arp requests directed to 192.168.10.2 does not work
tcpdump shows there are no response at all from USRP-2920
I have tried most of the solutions I could find on internet(gigabit ethernet card, cable, IP address)
I am completely bamboozled. I hope there is a solution.
