Hi all,
I'm new to USRP and really need your help. I'm trying to connect the USRP RIO to PC using PCI, but when I open the NI MAX,
I can't find the Rio device. I searched this problem on NI website, followed the solution: installed NI-USRP 15.0 driver and checked the conflicts of device manager (I attached the screenshots of NI MAX and device manager), but I can't solve it. What should I do?
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
Have you downloaded NI RIO driver?
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, I just notice your message. Actually it has been solved. I downloaded the driver but I plug it into wrong port. Even with the correct port, it didn't work because of the version of LabView Communication suite. Now it's working fine.

Hello sameerasic,
When you say that the USRP has been "correctly detected" by your host PC, it is appearing correctly in USRP Configuration Utility? If so, you can use that Utility to update your firmware to newer versions and see if that affects the behavior. Beyond this, however, we do not have the resources to troubleshoot interactions with third-party software.

yes the USRP device name appears in the configuration utility.the confusion is that if I update the firmware images then will the problem in MATLAB finish?beacuse I am not sure which version of MATLAB supports NI USRP 2932.....
I already stated that UHD version of MATLAB 2013a(that im using) is 003.004.002
If youcould tell me which MATLAB version supports NI USRP 2932? it will be of great help.thankyou

Hi Sameerasic
I am sure you have probably seen this already, as the post if the forum below seems to be yours as well, but I wanted to post it here just for documentation purposes.
According to Mathworks, the NI USRP images are not supported by the software, so, unfortunatelly, using the USRP 2932 with it would not be possible, as the software does not support NI's driver.

Hi I'm having a similar problem, except I'm using Labview. My usrp 2955 is being detected by my device manager however, when testing the RF record-playback example file I get an 1299 error.

Hi Tug,
How are you trying to address the 2955? Have you made any customer FPGA modifications or just using shipping bitfile? What are you using as the alias for the 2955? What exact VI in the example is throwing the error? Also, you said you're using LabVIEW, but just to be sure are you using LabVIEW Communications or the regular LabVIEW environment?

Hi All,
Thanks for this shared topics. I am quite new in USRP especially on USRP Setup.
Actually I have checked the MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) where it states that the NI USRP has been detected. Currently, I am using NI USRP-2942R. However, I just want to know how could we detect the USRP using the Lab View where I have checked mostly the example is using the IP address to detect another devices.
When I opened the Tools--> Instrument --> Find Instrument Drivers
It doesn't seemed that the USRP is detected. I don't know why.
Thanks
