Failure to get connection between Intel e810-2CQDA2 and x440 SDR

Hi

We have an Intel e810-2CQDA2 board in our PC connected (currently using one cable) to our x440 and we're having problems getting the PC to talk to the x440. We purchased this particular board because it had been tested by Ettus and was recommended on their web site.

We have installed the Intel driver 1.16.3 for the network card and also updated the NVM to the latest version 4.70.

On the X440 we have installed the CG_400 FPGA image to ensure it uses the 100GbE connection. This is confirmed using "uhd_find_devices".

We have a solid green light on the ports for both the network card and the x440 but no flashing activity lights.

On the x440, the output from "ip addr" shows the interface is up and has an IP address:

4: sfp0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 9000 qdisc fq_codel qlen 1000
link/ether 00:80:2f:40:95:1e brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 192.168.10.2/24 brd 192.168.10.255 scope global sfp0
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 fe80::280:2fff:fe40:951e/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

On the PC, we have configured an IP address and tried to bring the interface up using:

ip addr add 192.168.10.10/24 dev enp6s0np0

ip link set dev enp6s0np0 up

The output from "ip addr" then shows the device is not receiving any carrier:

3: enp6s0np0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN group default qlen 1000
link/ether 40:a6:b7:cf:7b:b0 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 192.168.10.10/24 scope global enp6s0np0
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

The output from "ethtool enp6s0np0" shows unknown speed and duplex settings.

The output from: "lshw -class network" seems to show the card is trying to operate at 25Gbit/s, rather than the full 100Gb/s - could that be the issue?
