We aim to achieve the maximum master clock rate for the USRP X440 with 2 Tx and 2 Rx. We are now using i9-14900K and it seems that we need better CPU. Could the Dell Precision 5860 Tower Workstation with the Intel® Xeon® W7-2495X processor be an option, or we need CPU has even more cores? Also, is it possible to achieve the maximum master clock rate without DPDK? We are storing the received data into RAM so we need large RAM space, is the ECC RAM necessary?
Thank you very much for your advice.

BIXUT,
please see https://kb.ettus.com/X440#X440_5 for details of validated streaming performance.
In general 100GbE streaming performance benefits from high core frequencies, is Host PC HW specific, and best UHD streaming performance requires using DPDK plus host OS tweaking (recommendations are incl. in the referenced KB).

Hi, thanks for your reply!
I saw that the Recommended Host PC has at least 32 CPU cores while the Validated Hardware has 24 CPU cores. I am a little confused if 24 CPU cores are enough. In addition, do you think the ECC RAM is necessary?
