Is it possible to use simultaneously both inputs as antennae?

Solved!

Hallo,

I would like to use an USRP to measure the phase shift between 2 RF signals at about 101MHz.

Is it possible to use only one USRP and use RX1 and RX2 simultaneously to performed this phase difference measurement?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Hello HB-EUM,

I am most familiar with the USRP 2920, which is the 50 MHz - 2.2 GHz version of the USRP.  On the transmit/receive daughterboard (WBX) there is only a single downconverter/LO chain and the input is switched between RX2 or RX1.

It would not be possible to receive from both RX1 and RX2 at the same time.

Which USRP are you using?

Hallo Anthony,

Thanks for the quick answer.

Then, if I understand it correctly, the only way would be to use two USRPs 2920 and the MIMO connection cable for the synchronization.

Is that correct?

That is correct,

Two USRPs and a MIMO cable or an external 10 MHz clock with PPS output. We use a combination of both in our 6x6 MIMO demo
