You guys sick of me yet? : )
Attached is an example VI that I modified slightly from the "Continuous Async.vi" shipped example.
I know that the USRP does not necessarily have a calibrated magnitude response, and it took me a while to realized that the "Power Spectrum" vi's that most of the example programs use don't return the spectrum in absolute power (dBm, watts, etc), but in relative power (dB). The block diagram of my modified example tries to determine what the absolute power is so I can compare it to my known input (a single tone), and determine some calibration factors for the radio. I'm seeing about an order of magnitude difference though between the input and the different calculations I use to try and determine the received power.
An order of magnitude seemed like a lot....or is this normal?
I have a bunch of notes and more detail written in a text box on the block diagram.
Would be great to get a sanity check on this as to whether this is reasonable.
Thanks (....again).
