Newbie: usrp transmission problem

Dear Experts,

I am trying to simulate the Basic QPSK model in Simulink using USRP hardware.

1. If I run the receiver first and then the transmitter now matter how long I wait I do not receive the original 'Hello world xxx' msg but instead something else like e.g &d$%"µß?

2. I I run the Transmitter and then the Receiver. after few steps I can see actual 'Hello world xxx' msg on matlab command window.

3. If I pause the Transmitter and leave the Receiver ON. the same error happen that the Receiver shows something else. Even when I resume the Transmitter again...

I need to know about this problem and solve it because in future I will implement and ACK/NACK system based on this example which will for sure ask the Transmitter to pause, retransmitt the lost frame etc and resume after msg recovery..

did any one faced the same problem or someone has the reason and solution to the problem. I shall be very much thankful for your help...

Hi there,

I'm not sure if you are in the right forum!? Matlab/Simulink is a product of MathWorks.

But I found this Instruction, maybe it can help you.

I'm sorry but you will hardly find someone here who knows MATLAB/Simulink. Please visit also the Mathworks support:

Do you use NI-Hardware? If yes which one and is it recognized?

Oh sorry, I did not realized that I just googled USRP discussion forums and this site was on top 😛 . Thanks alot for the links you showed I already worked on it. I am using USRP2 from Ettus Research and will be working on Simulink...anyways thanks alot for your suggestions....

I HAVE 2 USRP B100 ONE ANOTHER FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING E BUT NOT ACHIEVED SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFER DATA TO ANOTHER ONE USRP COULD HELP ME WITH THE CONFIGURATION OF BLOCKS IN COMPANION gnuradio PLEASE SHOW ME A DIAGRAM OR ARRANGEMENT WITH BLOCKS CONFIGURATION AND ITS RESPECTIVE?
