Hello,
Firstly,I am a beginner in USRP and in this forum too. I am a University student in Electrical Engineering 🙂
I am trying to connect my NI USRP-2920 with my Macbook Pro via NI-VISA.
So,when i open the NI-VISA and choose "Add Static" then "Ethernet Serial" , i type in the Hostname or IP address the USRP's IP which is 192.168.11.3.
When i press ok i get an Error as you can see in the picture.
Can somebody give me a complete guidance?
Thank you in advance!

Hi nikoolasss11,
Do you have your USRP connected directly to the Ethernet port on your Macbook?
Are you eventually wanting to control your USRP from your Macbook? If so, I would look into using a Windows boot partition as we have drivers for our USRPs that handle a lot of the communication and connection automatically in the background.

I have it connected with Startech USB 2.0 to Ethernet adapter.
Is it necessary to use a Windows boot partition? Isn't there any more easier way?
Thank you.

Hello,
Do you have a any other computer system besides the mac that you can try? Have you followed the instructions for properly configuring your device starting on page 8?
