Transmitting 16QAM and QPSK from one NI USRP-2954R

Hi everyone,

 

I am currently an undergraduate student and have just been trying out LabVIEW recently. As per the title, I attempted to use one LabVIEW 2019 file to transmit both 16QAM and QPSK from two separate RF channels 0 and 1 from an NI USRP-2954R. You can see the attached .vi file below. This runs file.

 

I also use another USRP-2954R to receive the signals. When I try to run the example file "niUSRP EX QAM Tx.vi" to receive the 16QAM signal, the resulting constellation is noisy: sometimes it's clear, while other times it is purely noisy (check attached screenshots). For QPSK signal receiving, there is no error and the signal is very clear.

 

I have tried the following debugging methods:

* Change transmitted ports (16QAM from RF 1 and QPSK from RF 0), no difference;

* Transmit only 16QAM or QPSK on both ports: the 16QAM is very clear on each port.

 

What would you suggest me to debug next? I am thinking that there might be bleeding between the RFs of the USRP, but I'm not sure.
