Are there laptop based cards which accepts video over LVDS?

Hi,

     I'm building a hardware which transmits video over LVDS port. To test that I'm looking for a PC based or Laptop based card which can recieve video over LVDS and display in Windows. Please suggest.

Hello Kumar,

NI offers two PC based cards that are compatible with LVDS cameras/signals. They are PCI 1422 and PCI 1424. Of course these are PCI cards so they will not work on your laptop. NI currently does not offer any PCMCIA based IMAQ cards. You could use a third party PCMCIA-PCI bridge if you really require PCMCIA connectivity but this is not an elegant solutions and I have never seen it work without problems.

NI does sell a CardBus to PXI solution that you could then use with the PXI variants of the boards Jack recommended. I don't know if the throughput would be sufficient as I am not familiar with vision boards. Perhaps Jack can comment. The product is the PXI-CardBus 8310.
