Is there any new NI-VXI release for Linux especially Red Hat Enterprise 4?

Solved!
Go to solution

We are now using the NI-VXI 2.1 on kernel 2.6.19, it works fine. Now we are trying to use it on kernel 2.6.20, but it fails to compile the nivxi driver, it seems not very easy to resolve the compiling errors, do you know if there is any new NI-VXI software released for Linux?

Thanks,

mdsaero,

According this KnowledgeBase article found at ni.com, our latest official kernel that is supported is 2.6.15. This may be out of date since you say you can run on 2.6.19 :smileyhappy:

I will check with R&D to see what the latest status of this driver is.

Thanks

It looks like that information is still current. The latest version that is officially supported for the NI-VXI 2.1 release is 2.6.15.

If you currently subscribe to NI support, you can create a new service request at ni.com/ask (choose either phone or email option) and we can see if there is a beta version that will support your kernel.

If you do not have support, I can email you instructions on how to contact NI.
