Hello!

Are you using an NI GPIB card or an Agilent GPIB card to communicate with the GPIB-VXI card in the HP E1301B chassis? If you are using an NI GPIB card, then please use the information located in KB 1V2CK572.

Instead of using NI-VISA 2.5, I would recommend using NI-VISA 2.6 which installs with LabVIEW 6.1 and is also available for download from www.ni.com.

If you are using an Agilent GPIB card, we recommend installing Agilent VISA version K first. Second install NI-VISA 2.6, which you need to link VISA to LabVIEW. In the Agilent I/O Configuration Utility, change the resources to GPIB1 instead of GPIB0. Final
ly, in MAX, enable the Tulip passport for VISA. In MAX, this is found under Tools -> NI-VISA -> VISA Options -> Passport tab.
