Can Multiple Veristand 2016 aliases point to same channel?

For VeriStand 2016, can I have multiple aliases in the system definition file point to the same channel? I've been told that I cannot, but I have not found any official documentation on the matter. I'm in the process of adding new aliases to the system definition file, and I'd like to keep the current aliases so that I don't have to update the test stand files that reference the current aliases. Some of the new aliases will be linking to some of the same targets that the current aliases link to.

It works for me (VeriStand 2017).

Here is a screenshot of the System Explorer. Note that Alias1, Alias2 and Alias3 are all pointing to Targets/Controller/System Channels/Absolute Time:

And here is the running deployed system, with a piece of Workspace (it could be done with UIManager also, yes) :

So I guess the answer is yes 😉
