Path of display templates

The display templates for the GUI in VeriStand are located in a local folder (<Public Documents>\National Instruments\NI VeriStand 20xx\Display Templates). I added some custom VIs, but I want to put them in another folder (which is linked to Subversion). Can I add an extra path where VeriStand can look for display templates? Or is this path hardcoded?

From my experience, they have to be in that folder for VeriStand to recognize them and present them to the user in the workspace under edit mode...
