client forward compatibility with newer versions of veristand

can i use an older veristand labview client (LV2017) to connect to a more recent versistand application (2019 or above)?

I tried running shipping example UDP Streaming Example VI using LabVIEW 2021 while running Engine Demo in VeriStand 2023. Error 1172 is thrown, stating that it cannot connect to VeriStand server.

Perhaps you need to re-build your client from the source code to match the VeriStand version.
