mulitple alias creation

Hi!

I'm using VeriStand 2011 SP1. When i want to create an alias in the System Explorer, i use the function "Add Multiple Alias". A popup appear where i can navigate in the treeview and select a section and create all alias of the channels that belongs to this section. This function is great but has a little (BIG) drawback, i.e. if two channel have the same name in a different section e.g. Custom Devices / HSD/Ai/ai0/ Current and Custom Devices / HSD/Ai/ai1/ Current the software cannot generate the alias and we get an eror (because VS can't generate two time the same alias).

If we want to add the alias, we have to create the alias in different folder, we can for example create the same hierarchy. But this cannot be done automatically. Thus we have either to create every alias at one time (can't use Add multiple Alias) or to import a csv file. One great function would be to automatically create the same hierarchy in the alias directory than the complete name of the channel ...

Is this improvement made in VS 2012 ? VS 2013 ? Is it possible to modify the function Add Multiple Alias in VS 2011 ? Eventually install a patch ?I think this is really easy to do ...

Otherwise is it possible to add external code and to call it from the system explorer (without creating a special custom device) .....
