My VB-8054 has picked up a habit of throwing this error on powerup, halting any usage. Holding Reset seems to give me a ~1 in 10 chance to clear it, after which the device functions normally even after app restarts. The behavior is observed over both USB and Ethernet, as well as both using an installed app (18.0.0.49152) and the one provided over usb. If anyone knows how to debug/diagnose or even bypass this it would save me several minutes of cycling reset every day. I'm also pretty handy with repairs if this is an issue with a known spot to look.
