I am running Windows 7 in a Virtualbox (Oracle), under Linux. (Ubuntu).
We use in the company Windows 7 Enterprise edition.
Installed Virtualbench application - off-line edition.
After enabling in the virtualbox the USB devices the NI Virtualbench is connected to, the application works. It shows the oscilloscope noise or test signal, voltage from the multimeter.
As long as I do not press any menue or other function with the mouse it continues to work.
Clicked on <Files><About> and 5 seconds later the Windows 7 was "DEAD". It was not 100% dead, the mouse still moved. But any action, either by a mousclick or by pressing "Alt"-"Tab" had no effect. Pulling the USB cable did not work either.
Interesting was, that in the Gnome System Monitor, 1 CPU (of my 4), ran also 100% utilization. Seems it was the virtualbox loading the CPU.
I did not spend much more time to investigate, since it is quite timeconsuming to repower the machine.
What can be done to fix this issue?

There are two options:
