Lines at quadrant angles are smooth. But lines with different angles are jagged. It would be better if the rough edges are smoothed.
How do you propose to do this?
Isn't this a normal problem with all displays when you are trying to plot a non-orthogonal line on a display that has point laid out in a rectangular pattern? It is called aliasing.

I was thinking of something similar to anti-aliasing brush available in photoshop tools. I'm not aware of the algorithm behind it.
