I wanted to propose a new tool to draw a ROI in the Vision Development Module and in the VBAI: maybe using the spline, the ROI will be more accurate for some particular inspections.
Thanks for the idea. I was curious if you could provide more details on use cases for the spline (i.e. do you have sample images). Do you have suggestions on how the user interacts with the spline (i.e. move control points vs moving the entire spline, etc.)
I could see some use for this, say in modifying the region selected by a threshold. I guess it would apply to the Freehand ROIs which currently are only able to be moved once created. Being able to edit those as splines, or perhaps better Bezier curves, would add useful functionality. I don't think I'd personally use it a lot, but given all the other ROIs are able to be edited, it would make sense to add it at some stage.
