There are already lots of benchmarking tools in VBAI and it's very easy to accomplish this specific task with a Run LabVIEW VI, so I don't think we will have a dedicated step for this at this time.

Timing Step
A very commonly used custom VI for run-time: Timing step which provides bot the current time and the time lapsed from the last time this exact step was executed.
Provides a benchmarking utility which could be used in runtime.
This seems like a good candidtate for using a Run LabVIEW VI step. Attached is a simple VI to give you an idea of how to accomplish this timing with a Run LabVIEW VI step.
