NI Volume License Manager 3.1 will be releasing Summer 2013 with a beta program to occur in May 2013. The new version contains many exciting features, some of which we will preview through the month of April. Please contact the author if you are interested in joining the beta program and putting these new features to work at your company soon.
After a new version of LabVIEW releases, you have built a Volume License Installer, and you have updated the permissions in your database, how do you let users know that the new version is available? Are you currently maintaining email lists outside of NI VLM that basically duplicate the groups and permissions that you already set up inside NI VLM?
With NI VLM 3.1, you can use our email enhancements to notify your end users of new software, policies, or anything else. With the newly added email enhancements, you will have the ability to send email to:
- A selected set of groups
- A selected set of users or computers
- A user or computer in a selected set of permission requests
- All users/computers that are using a particular license or a selected set of licenses
Also, you will have the ability to automatically send an email to users when their permission requests are accepted or rejected.
