As part of updating LabVIEW 2019 to 2019 SP1, I ended up having to use NILM 4.5.0.116.
Moving the option to enter activation codes behind the user account login was a little confusing, but I can get used to it. Can this login be bypassed if the computer isn't connected to the internet, or is it impossible to activate NI software offline now?
I do like that you can once again enter activation codes separated by a newline character rather than a comma (this was very annoying on older versions of NILM 4.x, as I believe activation e-mails still provide newline-delimited codes). One annoying thing about this option is that the Activate Software dialog is modal, so I can't look through my local licenses to determine which products to activate at ni.com/activate without closing the Activate Software dialog (I guess they are listed if you go to Check my account for licenses, but that isn't as easy to browse and lists things that are already activated). Another (long-standing) minor annoyance is that once you activate something on ni.com/activate, there is no link to get back to ni.com/activate to activate something else.
For the check my account for licenses option, does that still spam serial numbers all over splash screens and the local licenses screen like the automatic activations of previous NILM versions did? Also, even if that option doesn't do so, it appears to not be working for my account. It required account verification (even though the account has been around for a long time) and then didn't recognize the license associated with my account. No Licenses

I also noticed that the license manager closed when I selected log out in the Activate Software dialog (not sure if this is intentional or a crash - if it is a crash, it didn't show up in LVInternalReports). After restarting NI License Manager, I was still logged in, so it was probably a crash; it let me log out this time.
