To: All SLUG's
The topic came up at last week's SLUG's meeting concerning how can we better understand how our customers are testing and/or using our developed GUI's/applications. There is a Windows 7 (somewhat unpublished) tool called "Problem Steps Recorder" (Type in "PSR" to lookup while in Win7). It is a screen capture recorder that will save X number of screen shots to an *.mht file. I don't think it records keyboard inputs but it does record mouse clicks. It was originally intended for capturing Windows 7 O/S environment issues that one would pass along to someone else (i.e. IT Dept.) for troubleshooting purposes. The default screen capture setting is 25, but that can be modified up or down. I could see this tool used as a LabVIEW GUI testing aid :

One other GUI enhancement item mentioned at the meeting (thanks goes to John Lokanis) was the AJAX *.gif generator website. Here it is : http://ajaxload.info/ . I'm pretty sure this is the website John was mentioning.
