It is a simple decoration. It is not a control, because it has no connector on the block diagram.
Look for Horizontal Smooth Box in the decorations palette. 🙂

Hi,
I'm having difficulty placing front panel objects on a "Horizontal smooth box" decoration and I can't understand why. I have finished writing the code in the block diagram but when I drag the front panel objects onto the smooth box they don't appear on it. Is there an explanation for this? How can this be done? I have labview 8.2 as well.
Thanks

The options on the reorder button doesn't anything about Z order. See attached VI.

You don't have a decoration on the front panel and z order refers to which objects are on top of what and the order of those objects
(In case you don't know, x refers to left/right and y refers to up/down.). If you actually place a decoration on the front panel and then move one of your existing controls/indicators, you just have to select the decoration, go to the reorder button, and select 'move to back'.

Hi Dennis,
Your suggestion worked but I have another question. I've attached a picture. How do you build the attached front panel? Can you tell if it was built on some kind of tab control?. My main problem is actually the "selected subset" Analysis section. How was the size reduced?. I'll appreciate your help.
Thanks

If you have the actually VI, it would have been far better to attach that. Attaching an image directly instead of some propietary file format (MS Word) would be preferred as well.
From the image, it does not look like a tab but you never know. Any control/indicator can be resized with the mouse. You just select it and grab the resize handles. You can also display another VI in a subpanel. It could be either or both.

Hi Dennis,
It is an example vi from a tutorial so I only have picture of it. I've attached the block diagram. Perhaps it could shedd some light.
