GENERATING NETLIST

I built a circuit by dragging the components using Multisim 9. How do I let Multisim generate  the netlist.

When I clicked on the transfer on the toolbar and export netlist, a dialogue box poped out with the option to save it.  However, when I later checked the saved netlist it was empty. 

Is there anyway I can build a circuit by draging it into workspace and connecting it and later get the output/netlist using Multisim 9
