Is labview 2009 SE backordered?

Is this true? or is the vendor i am going through Journeyed.com trying to pull a scam?

Here is the email they sent me:

"Our records show that you have a current backorder for LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition.
This product has incurred an unexpected manufacturing delay and is currently estimated to arrive 7 business days.
We apologize for the delay your order has incurred and appreciate your patience while the manufacturer resumes shipping of their product.   Journey understands however that this delay may not fit your personal needs for the product.  Should you need to cancel your backordered item please contact Customer Service otherwise your product will ship as soon as it is received."

Has anybody else experienced this issue?

Hi RAD486,

I would try going through this link:

http://www.ni.com/labviewse/ to see if that's true.  I haven't heard of any backorder.

The LabVIEW 2009 Student Edition is currently shipping to customers and distributors (such as JourneyEd).  If you need to use the software before the media shipment arrives, you can download the evaluation version of the software from here

It will be in evaluation mode for 30 days and activated with the serial number from the LabVIEW Student Edition kit.
