Software export

I'm traveling oversea's from the us to England/ EU are there any export controls on Multisim?  Can it be taken on a laptop to England/EU?   This is a work related questions and the same goes true for CVI , Teststand NIDAQ, and the switch executive.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Here is a link to several license agreements:

http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/q/license%20agreements/

The general answer is yes, you can install Multisim on your laptop and take it with you this is not an issue.

To add on to Tien's correct answer, I'd like to add that the relevant verbiage in NI's software license agreement is this:

   Restrictions. You may not:

(iv) directly or indirectly, export, re-export, download, or ship the SOFTWARE in violation of the laws and regulations of the U.S.A. and the laws and   regulations of the applicable jurisdiction in which you use or are downloading the SOFTWARE.

Few people are experts on US laws and regulations pertaining to export so NI has made a brief summary:

http://www.ni.com/legal/export-compliance.htm  (click 'Legal' at the bottom of any page and then click 'Export Compliance')

Fyi, after posting the original poster contacted NI's Trade Compliance Department for assistance in this matter.
