How do you lay out your AF projects?

Fab just put me onto this tool, which is really cool.

https://www.websequencediagrams.com/

Unfortunately, it only does sequence diagrams but is way easier than Visio.

Thanks all for the tips. I picked up the UML book and will be reading it soon.

Taggart, that tool is going to be very helpful sketching things out without using a whole ream of paper 🙂

One question though, how do I finish a line without accepting a tooltip? Say I write a note; my last line would be "end note" but it tries to suggest "note over". Pressing Enter accepts the autocomplete, as does tab. How do I just "finish" typing? I must be missing something simple.

It's not ideal, but just click with the mouse and then hit enter.  Maybe there is an easier way?

I've had a lot of luck using RealTimeBoard as a sketchpad for building out flowcharts/UML-esque diagrams and such. Its easier to modify than paper and provides a bunch of neat features for me to annotate the design as I revise it.

Hello,

I'm using 2 free tools :

These tools can be used online but often the  first step is a whiteboard with lots of color pen.
