CANdb file format

Hi,

Does anyone know the internal format of CANdb files?

The format is closely guarded by Vector (!!) ... but I wondered if anyone has managed to reverse-engineer these files?

I know that it is possible to edit the raw file (.dbc) with a text editor & I have managed to work out some of the fields ... but not all.

If you want to read and write CANdb Files you may contact Vector directly to get further informations.
Vector offers a C++ interface to read and write DBC files as well.

Do you know whether the C++ API is free or comes for a price?

I doubt it's a free tool. You may ask Vector directly for an offer.
