Does Lookout support DeviceNet?

Is there any support for the DeviceNet protocol in the current versions of Lookout?

The answer to this question is two fold. Firstly, Lookout 4.5.9, the most recent version to be released, includes a DeviceNET driver. When creating an NIDeviceNet object, the user is given the tools to configure the interface as well as the connection to device on the bus. A new object must be created for each object connected to the bus.

Secondly, support for DeviceNet in Lookout 4.0.1 is also available. The driver may be downloaded from the NI web page by going to www.ni.com and performing a search on "lookout AND DeviceNet" for the entire site. In the search results, follow the link to "DeviceNet driver for Lookout". This will lead you to a .zip file containing the driver, a configuration utility, and some useful documents. Simply copy these files into you Lookout4
directory (or the location where Lookout 4.0.1 is installed on your machine), delete the file called lookout.dat and run Lookout. This driver functions in the same manner as the Lookout 4.5 driver described above.

I can't locate the link you specified, there does not seem to be a link to any DeviceNet driver for Lookout from the search results. What am I doing wrong?

The Lookout DeviceNet driver mentioned in this Developer Exchange posting was a beta version and has since been removed from the Drivers and Updates site. Lookout support for DeviceNet is provided only in version 4.5.0.9 and above.
