Error on Installation of LV executable installer

Solved!
Go to solution

I built an executable and installer using the LV application builder.  On a couple of computers when the installer is run, the error in the attached jpeg is returned.

Hi Russell,

Which version of LabVIEW was this built with and what versions are the Run Time Engines on the deployment machines?

As well, what are the differences between the machines that run the installer without any errors and the machines that do throw this error?

Do all the deployment machines have the LabVIEW Run Time Engine 8.6 or 8.6.1?

Did you copy everything in the bin, license and supportfiles folders to the other machines before running the installer? Specifically, is the file NI Released License Agreement - Simplified Chinese.rtf in the license folder?

Thank you for your help it lead me to the source of the problem.  The NI Released License Agreement - Simplified Chinese.rtf file was present but the extension was cut off because when the file was unzipped the file path was longer than Windows file path limit. So I just made the file path shorter and fixed the extension and it worked.

Thanks,

Is there any way to exclude certain languages from the installer?

In the Application Builder Build Specifications properties for an executable (.exe) there is "Run-Time Languages",

but in the Installer Properties there is no section for languages.

Thanks,
