We are using VeriStand for HIL testing and we are having trouble importing CAN signal from a DBC which have signal names defined that are longer than 32 characters. Does anyone know if there is a way to tell the XNET driver to allow import long signal names or if there is an attribute in the DBC file that would allow this? So for example this 33 character signal "currentStatusOfTheHeadlightSystem" would get imported as "currentStatusOfTheHeadlightSyste"
Long names with > 32 characters are supported by attributes in DBC databases. The ability to read long names from DBC files was added to NI-XNET last year (2022), so you could upgrade NI-XNET to the last recent version and try again.
