Labview exe works on one system but locks up two other.

A Labview exe that was created for the 8.2.1 runtime engine works on one of my systems but it completely locks up two other systems to the point that I have to do a hard reset on the computers.  As far as I can tell all three systems have the same versions of run-time engines, NI Spy, NI CAN, NI PAL, NI USI, and NI VISA installed on them.  Any suggestions?

Hi iCANdoit,

Checking the versions between the computers is a great place to start.  What computer was the executable created on?  Was it created on the system that behaves properly, but it doesn't seem to transfer to other systems well?

Also, at what point in the executable does the computer lock-up?  Is it right at the start or only once hardware has been referenced (what hardware are you using, by the way?)?  If you were to create a small executable that doesn't use any hardware (ie. just adds two numbers together), does it lock-up when put on a simple software-only executable other two systems as well?

Thanks!

Hi Anna,

Thanks for your response.  I found that the two computers that it was crashing on were not fast enough.  The computer that it did work on has a dual processor and it was using up 60% of it.  We were able to modify the exe so that it is not so processor hungry.

Thanks.
