PCMCIA-CAN/2 driver not working with cardbus to expresscard adapter

Has anyone ever used the NI PCMCIA-CAN/2 with a cardbus to expresscard adapter? I am having problems with the computer recognizing this hardware configuration. The problem is that the Dell Latitude E6400 I have only has an expresscard 34-pin slot so I need to use an adapter. I am using this configuration to test an old software implementation. The new implementation uses the NI USB-8473.

While I have not personally worked with Expresscards I have heard of others switching to from low cost to higher-end (name brand) adapters to get their PCMCIA cards recognized. Another note to consider is BIOS settings/or updates. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help with the adapter! Create a new thread if you need help with the software...
