I have been having a similar problem.
I have been trying to set up a PCMCIA-CAN/2 card (Series 1, part # 184272F-02) using a PCI to PCMCIA controller card.  I downloaded & installed the NI-CAN driver (version 2.5), which is supposed to work with series 1 cards (other than the ones listed in the Read me documentation).
I keep getting the "Memory Resource Conflict".  I tried changing the memory range and disabling other devices that are using the same IRQ using Device Manager.  This did not solve the problem and after I made the changes MAX could no longer see the card.  The PCI to PCMCIA card is using the same IRQ but I don't think I can disable that & still have the NI card work.  I have read the knowledge base articles and searched the forum but haven't seen anything about PCMCIA card in a desktop.  I also tried switching PCI slots but that didn't help.
Any suggestions on how to get the card to work?  I am pretty sure the card works because I borrowed it from NI.  There is a laptop I can try the card in but I will have to install LabVIEW on it.
