Single sample input/output

Hi,

    I am a CVI user but quite new to NI-CAN, so I tried using the examples provided by NI. I connected Port 1 to Port 2 of PXI 8460(series2, 2 ports) which I defined as CAN 0 and CAN 1 respectively in MAX. Next I load the channel configuration provided in the example into MAX. Then I tried running the examples in CVI(Single Sample Input and Single Sample event output) to test out the connection. However, there seems to be some problem with the transmission/reading of data as nothing is reflected when the read button is clicked. Can someone kindly advise me on this. I provide the CVI and .ncd files.

Hi,

First run a different example (Object to Object) using the Frame API to check whether or not your hardware and cabling is correct. This example transmits and receives 10 frames from CAN0 to CAN1. If this works check the Baud Rate and Transceivers within MAX. Take care to have the same BaudRate and Transceiver configured, because the examples for the Channel API are using the MAX Configuration. Now run the examples again and hopefully it works.

   I managed to solve the problem with your advice!!! Seems that something is wrong with my hardware and i reinstall it. Thanks!!
