Synchronisation of PCMCIA-CAN/2 with USB 6211

Hi,

Im trying to synchronise my PCMCIA CAN card with my DAQ USB 6211 device. Can anyone tell me which USB 6211 terminals I need to connect my synchronisation cable to? So far I've tried connecting the TRIG_0 (RTSI0) signal to the PFI 0 port on DAQ device and a ground signal to my ground port but I get error FFFEA3D0 (???)

I've just modified an example for my LabView programme so I dont think there are any problems there. It's more the physical connections I'm struggling with. Any advice would me much appreciated.

many thanks

Tom

Hi Tommy,

i assume you have a sync port on PCMCIA Can Card and you have terminal block on the USB DAQ Card.

note the comment i have taken from the example VI from NI:

Enable FREQ_OUT to 10MHz.
Use CAN Sync cable to physically wire DAQCard's FREQ_OUT to PCMCIA-CAN RTSI7 (TRIG_CLK).

refer to example: 'Multiple CAN Cards Frame API Single DAQmx Card.vi'

Hope this helps you. good luck.
