can bus, ni usb 8473

To all,

I have a question, I am running a program with a simulator in labview 8.6. I am using a USBcan Rugged and a ni-usb8473. For some reason, the usb 8473 is not getting any can messages. In the USBcanRugged the CAN and PWR light are both on, this makes me think it is sending can messages. But the usb 8473 is not flashing at all. I used this both instruments before with my program and simulator and they work perfectly, but now is just not working anymore. Both instruments seem to work perfectly. Any ideas?

Validate your baud rate (are they both set to the same?)

Validate your cabling (do you have the correct termination?)

Hi Cosmica,

I agree that the first things that you should verify is the baud rate and the proper termination.  If you have questions about termination you can find more information <link no longer exists>.  You can also use the Bus Monitor to see every message that is coming into the USB-8473.  Are you using both devices at the same time in the same computer?  You might want to try using the devices seperately in two computers to make sure the drivers are being properly recognized.
